In a shocking revelation, police have identified the 13-year-old suspect behind the brutal stabbing of two boys at a north London school as a former pupil. The incident, which unfolded during lunchtime on Tuesday, has left the community reeling.

The suspect then stabbed a 13-year-old boy in the same classroom and fled, continuing his assault by stabbing a 12-year-old boy on the ground floor before escaping.
The police received a call from a concerned member of the public at approximately 4:15 p.m., reporting a 13-year-old boy who had been seen at a mosque in northwest London. Officers swiftly responded, arresting the boy on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in custody.
Detective Chief Superintendent Helen Flanagan assured the public that the suspect does not appear to have a connection to the mosque and that the presence at the mosque was likely coincidental. The mosque community has been supportive of the investigation.
