Just 30 minutes before the toss, Marsh was ruled out due to internal testicular bleeding, a result of a training mishap earlier in the week. This left the Australian camp in a state of panic, but they rallied together and put up a competitive score of 6-182.
Marcus Stoinis, Josh Inglis, and Matt Renshaw all contributed with the bat, providing some much-needed stability after the Marsh setback. However, the real heroes of the day were Nathan Ellis and Adam Zampa, who combined for an incredible eight wickets!
